Have patience!

Patience produces character, and character produces hope.
Romans 5:4

Max Lucado writes on the infinite patience of God. God is often more patient with us than we are with ourselves. If we fall or stumble we think we are not worthy of saving. If we have old desires, then we must not be a new creation. If you are anxious about this, please remember, “God began doing a good work in you, and I am sure he will continue it until it is finished when Jesus Christ comes again.” Phil 1:6.

There is much good news for St Mark’s and the Lutheran Saints in Ministry. As we begin our Lenten journey, we will worship on Wednesdays at noon at St. Mark’s for the LSIM churches and the community. We will share evening worship with Abiding Christ Lutheran or Arise in Christ Lutheran. There will be a women’s bible study starting Ash Wednesday from 11:15 to 12 in the lounge based on Reflections of Joy in the book of Philippians. The LSIM Celtic Mass is coming up at 3PM on March 17. We will be moving to a new liturgy that was introduced by Pastor Peter and Leah Bray on Feb 3rd. We can look back in fear at our past, or we can be patient knowing that God is working in our midst. We can cling to old practices wring our hands in worry, or we can welcome new visitors and new ideas with a renewed faith in God. The LSIM pastors and deacons are supportive of seeing St Marks succeed. We are on this journey together and God is steering our ship. Please pray for all of the LSIM churches that we will be faithful and effective to reach those in spiritual need.
