Live a holy life

What a wonderful and sacred Ash Wednesday service we had at St. Mark’s this past week. Arise in Christ had a good attendance, and Abiding Christ had more attending Ash Wednesday than ever before. I see this as a good sign that all of the congregations in LSIM are reaching out to regular attenders and neighbors who are wanting to be in God’s house.

Max Lucado’s meditation concerns living a holy life. Matthew 5:16 says, You should be a light for other people. Live so that they will see the good things you do and will praise your Father in heaven.

Do you want to make a difference in your world? Live a holy life.
Be faithful to your spouse
Be the one at the office who refuses to cheat
Be the neighbor who acts neighborly
Be the employee who does the work and doesn’t complain
Pay your bills
Do your part and enjoy life
Don’t speak one message and live another

People are watching the way we act more than they are listening to what we say. From Grace for the Moment by Max Lucado

Two things for this Sunday: Remember to set your clocks one hour forward before going to bed Saturday for daylight savings time, and I need your help compiling a list a complete list of our shut-ins. Please send any names and contact information to stmarkslutheranfairborn@gmail.com. I look forward to visiting with them all soon - thanks for your help.
