Garden

What do you think of when you hear the word ‘Garden’? Do you like to garden? Do you think of preparing the soil, planting the seeds, protecting the new growths from weeds, pruning, and harvesting? What if you took the same gardening thoughts and lived them out in you life?

Your Daily Living Garden
Plant Three Rows of Peas:
Peace of Mind         Peace of Heart         Peace of Soul
Plant Four Rows of Squash:
Squash Gossip         Squash Indifference         Squash Grumbling         Squash Selfishness
Plant Four Rows of Lettuce:
Lettuce Be Faithful    Lettuce Be Kind      Lettuce Be Patient      Lettuce Love One Another
No Garden Without Turnips:
Turnip for Meetings         Turnip for Service         Turnip to Help One Another
Complete Your Garden with Thyme:

Water Freely with Patience and Cultivate with Love.
There is much Fruit in Your Garden, as you Reap What You Sow.

Prayer: God make us good soil for your garden. Help us to look to the stranger in our midst and put into practice the plants in our garden. Amen.

The days are drawing shorter as we prepare to close St. Mark’s. If you are a member, your giving statements, information letter and voting cards were sent on Friday. Please return your voting cards as quickly as possible. The deadline is Sept 20th. LSIM Board met this past week to develop a budget for the outreach ministry of the building. Good news is that JT Burcham will continue on as building manager, and Tony Errett will continue as custodian. There are many items left from the basement sale. If you desire to look or buy, please contact JT or myself to let you in to browse. Anything left over will be donated to St. Francis Thrift Shop.
