Questions for God?

Questions+for+God.jpg

Did you know that God knows the answers? A peculiar question for Christians and an essential statement to those who are seeking. If any of you needs wisdom, you should ask God for it. (James 1:5)

Thomas came with doubts. Did Christ turn him away? Moses had his reservations. Did God tell him to go home? Job had his struggles. Did God avoid him? Paul had his hard times. Did abandon him? No! God never turns away the sincere heart. Tough questions don’t stump God. He invites our probing. Mark it down. God never turns away the honest seeker. Go to God with your questions. You may not find all the answers, but in finding God, you know the One who does. (from Max Lucado, Walking with the Savior)

One of the first petitions of my nightly prayers is, God please give me the wisdom as I minister and walk with St. Mark’s. I spend much more time these days asking God questions and asking for guidance. As we continue in the change in ministry at St. Mark’s, we may encounter those who may need help in formulating a question for God (they never did it or never tried it). The faithful of St Mark’s, whether you are present physically or in spirit on Sunday, may need to help those who are new to worship. Help them with their questions. Reach out and walk with them. And don’t forget, God answers your questions too. We all need to listen to God.
